| Description: | This is a configurable Multi Poly redux of simpleFM~. You can choose any combination of Polyphony and Multiphony, as long as they multiply to be less than 1,204. For example, 32x32 gives 32 independent notes, each triggering 32 parralel (but different) copies of simpleFM~. For practical reasons, I settled on a limited 10x10 grid for the display and 3x3 for the initial Poly/Multi configuration. To configure, change the Multi and Poly to whatever legal combination you want and then hit the Config button. Many of the important parameters can be modified with Multi Channel messages. For each message, the min value is set by the main interface knob, while the +Δ sets the distance to the Max. Each channel gets a random value between min and Max. When a Deviate button is engaged (Blue) the parameter is re-randomized for each incoming note. The Carrier and Modulator have been upgraded with morphable Shapes ranging from Sin/Tri/Saw/Square. The Effect knob behaves differently for each Shape. For Sin and Tri, it does wavefolding. For Saw, it adds a second, phase shifted Saw and for Square it controls Pulsewidth. I included a Bypassable (default) 12db, lowpass Basic Filter with Overdrive (prefilter) that works with all recent versions of Live/Max. The Meld Filters require Max 9.1, even if its just the Demo version. Unfortunately, the recently updated Bundled version of Max still doesn't have them. Notes: When reloading the Live set, you will need to hit the Config button again to resend all the parameters. For the Basic Filter Overdrive, 0.10 corresponds to no distortion. It auto deviates the Velocity under the hood. The lower the velocity, the larger the deviation amount. Larger velocities have less room to deviate. Strangely, the higher the Multi, the lower the volume seems to get. Sometimes google "ai" claims simpleFM~ came out around 2006, other times it says 1997. The oldest Cycling74 Forum posts are from 2006, But I'm pretty sure there was an older Forum archived at synthsisters.com, but that is long gone now. Nevertheless, I'm going with 1997. That is so frustrating. You should be able to hear something with the filter bypassed. It doesn't really use anything exotic, except the Meld filters. Try pressing the Config button?
I've uploaed a new version that re-fixes something that I had accidentally unfixed.
I've tested it on all 4 of my machines with various combinations of Demo/Registered versions of Live12/Max including just the Demo version of Live and the bundled version of Max. All of them PC's.

Here is the Live 11 version (link below). I'm pretty sure I removed all Max9 components. Its truly simpleFM with just Sin waves for the Carrier and Modulator and no Meld Filters.
On the bright side, its nowhere near the CPU hog.
